Here we go again
June 21, 2008 on 10:41 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsMcCain has once again reversed himself on a major issue. Not only has he flip-flopped, but he blasted Barack Obama for the mere perception of doing the same.

Debunking McCain’s Strawman Argument over the GI BIll
May 26, 2008 on 2:43 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsToday, John McCain is still pressing on about how his weak GI Bill is better than the one passed overwhelmingly by the Senate.
McCain said today to the AP:
“I am running for the office of commander in chief. That is the highest privilege in this country, and it imposes the greatest responsibilities. And this is why I am committed to our bill, despite the support Senator Webb’s bill has received.”
McCain then does something that is a common trick of the right wing. He introduces a solution to a problem that has never existed.

A flaw in McCain’s 100 year plan
April 8, 2008 on 9:15 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsJohn McCain’s position on Iraq, his comparisons to the troop deployments in Germany and Korea, basically positions us so we could stay there “100 years” (if there are no troops getting injured or killed, to make it more comfortable).
There is a flaw in this plan and he glosses over or omits it entirely in his stump speeches: How many troops are to be deployed in Iraq for the 100 years?
Why Obama?

Hillary flip-flops
February 26, 2008 on 9:49 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsAfter months of giving flak to Obama on the subject of negotiating with Iran without preconditions, then taking flak on being “Bush-lite” it seams Hillary has changed her position, again.
Creeping Fascism
February 24, 2008 on 11:59 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsIt’s interesting to compare a few general things about our current situation and the struggles of the citizens of the revolutionary period.
Today we experience a diminishing of our civil rights and freedoms through expanded presidential powers. It can be called “creeping fascism”, especially when one considers the broad range of policy shifts that has taken small steps toward changing our society. Everything from the “no-fly” list to the failed attempt by the president to require that mailmen report suspicious activity in their neighborhoods has been conducted in order to heighten fear among citizens.
I have some questions.
February 15, 2008 on 10:26 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsI was listening to some right-wing radio talk the other day, I think it was Savage, and a lady caller was fretful because she was “for torture” and wasn’t pleased with the outspoken left and some prominent politicians’ stance against waterboarding in light of the new bill banning same. Her commentary set me to thinking about the higher morality that surrounds the debate.
Wait a minute! Why is there a debate on torture in the first place?
Fiscal Catastrophe
January 17, 2008 on 10:32 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsSince the United States is in a revenue crisis and Congress has had to recently raise the debt ceiling again for the fifth time during the Bush Administration, and since Americans are facing another recession this year, the second during Bush, the Republican candidates for President are proposing tax cuts for businesses and a huge cut in the income tax rate for corporations in order to stimulate the economy.
What Huckabee proposes
January 6, 2008 on 11:45 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsMike Huckabee endorses the Fair Tax (HR 25, S 1025) plan and touts it as his bellwether campaign issue, his shining example of “change” and his vision of where America should be heading.
A Simple Withdrawal Plan
November 8, 2007 on 10:42 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsWhen there are many theories about how to intelligently withdraw troops from Iraq, I feel that it becomes necessary to apply Occam’s razor. Simplicity in theory is the key here, but there could be some slightly difficult details in the security aspect of my proposal.
