via Republicans Unite Against Health-Care Bill – The Daily Beast
As House Democrats negotiate the final touches of a massive overhaul of the nation’s health-care system, Republicans are preparing to vote en masse against the final bill. According to The Washington Post, no GOP members of the House are expected to vote for the bill, despite earlier signs that some moderates, like Rep. Joseph Cao (R-LA), were considering defecting. Things could change down the road, however: Rep. Mike Castle (R-DE), who is running for Senate in blue-state Delaware, told the Post that he may consider voting for the final bill that comes out of conference with the Senate. “Some people would like to see some kind of health-care reform,” Castle said.
This stuff makes me want to scream. We knew from the beginning that there would be either little or no support from the GOP. But being the kind, warm fuzzy kind of political party that we are, we began negotiations with the tax-cut, corporate welfare, screw the voters, agenda in mind just to tease them into liking us which we knew wouldn’t work. Democrats in Congress started the health care bill with built in concessions knowing full well, but thinking that somehow they have to extend their oh so gracious hand across the isle, that there would be no bipartisanship and in doing so, gave half the farm away before the crops were planted. DUMBASSES!!!!!! The frigging Democrats are all a bunch of DUMBASSES!!!!!
Should have began negotiating from a position of strength, telling the bnottom feeders that they are in a small minority and there will be nothing in this bill for them because they won’t vote for it anyway and we will start with the single payer system and cram it down their fat throats!
But that is not the entire story. No! If the mouth-breathing, bottom feeding, borrow and spend, Republican Obama haters cared one ounce about their constituency’s quality of life that is so eloquently spelled out in the Preamble to the Declaration of Independence, then they would run over each other to vote for health reform that regulates the insurance industry instead of offering the non-solution of more give-aways to them. By voting against the health care bill, they are denying care and therefore killing Americans.
The verdict? Democrats are dumbasses and Republicans are killing Americans!
But it’s no crime to be a dumbass.
