Gillibrand with Clinton
Both The New York Times and the Associated Press are confirming that Governor Paterson will announce Kirsten Gillibrand as New York’s next Senator:
The New York Times also notes that Paterson decided on Gillibrand last Friday. The AP says that some fellow Democrats are showing concern over the Gillibrand pick.
It seems that Gillibrand is not in line with even moderate Democrats on gun control. She has a 100% rating with the National Rifle Association and she is cool with “cop killer” bullets and the open sale of assault rifles. I guess we needed another blue dog in the Senate. Not.
It seems she is also friend of Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton. It’s good to have friends.
