A Second Look: Obama Issues First Veto Threat

via Obama Issues First Veto Threat.

President-elect Barack Obama made his first veto threat Tuesday in a closed-door meeting with Senate Democrats. Obama told his former colleagues that if Congress passes a resolution blocking release of the second half of the financial bailout funds he will veto it, said Sen. Joseph Lieberman after leaving the caucus meeting.

Who still listens to Joe Lieberman? It seems he will do or say anything these days just to be on the winning side.

President Obama

Anyway, Obama’s veto of a “disapproval resolution” would require a 2/3 majority to override and that ain’t happening so the money is his.

Nancy Pelosi is gung-ho behind our new President cracking the whip by threatening to cancel the Presidents Day recess if the TARP money legislation isn’t passed.
